You Will Be Trusted To
- Assist, directly or indirectly based on experience, with the oversight of recreational Summer Camp activities including hiking, zip lining, ropes course, rafting, and more.
- Assist directly with classroom based activities for Summer Camp.
- Develop and update, directly or indirectly based on experience, activities and programs as necessary.
- Prepare, organize and clean up activity sites.
- Supervise Summer Camp participants.
- Follow Summer Camp and safety rules, observing necessary precautions to secure the safety of participants.
- Must be currently enrolled and have completed one or more years of college and working towards or have received a degree in Recreation, Environmental Sciences, Outdoor Education or related field. Must be an enthusiastic self-starter who enjoys working in the outdoors.
- Texas driver’s license
- Participation and completion of CPR/First Aid and American Canoe Association training courses
- Successful completion of criminal background check
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Experience working with children of all ages and abilities
- Experience facilitating summer camps and outdoor recreation activities such as boating, camping and hiking
- Customer service experience and a professional attitude
