You Will Be Trusted To
- Utilize mechanical equipment maintenance, handle a wide range of tasks including installing, removing, inspecting, repairing, testing, adjusting, and aligning equipment like air compressors, heat exchangers, gear reducers, valves, pumps, and fans.
- Ability to dismantle and reassemble turbine generators, coal handling systems, and rail cars to ensure optimal functionality in the assigned work area.
- Ability to weld for piping and structures, certified to conduct various welding tasks, excel in fiberglass piping repairs, fabrication work (cutting, welding, fitting), sandblasting, painting operations, and scaffolding erection.
- Read blueprints, consult manuals, parts lists, etc., to assist in performing work; keep drawings and schematics up to date and accurate.
- Design modification to improve equipment safety and/or efficiency with engineering approval. May coordinate jobs with engineers, project managers, and supervisors. Provide quality control of outside contractors. Provide input to management on budget items.
- Operate handheld manual tools and power tools (e.g., rock saws and cut-off saws) in performing repair and maintenance tasks.
- Four or more years of experience in maintenance and/or repair of mechanical equipment or other relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in mechanical or industrial maintenance, instrumentation, controls or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Experience in an energy services environment.
