What are the responsibilities and job description for the Engineer Sr - Power System Protection position at LCRA?
You qualify with :
- Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Texas plus eight or more years of post-Bachelors engineering experience relating to the area of engineering specialization required to perform the job, including providing technical leadership in engineering.
- Driver's license
- Experience in relay coordination software (e.g. ASPEN OneLiner, CAPE, etc) and protective relay settings software
- Experience in electrical print reading (e.g. relay one-line diagrams, DC schematics, etc)
- Experience in power system apparatus (e.g. circuit breakers, circuit switchers, fuses, transformers, etc) and symmetrical components
- Experience in software programming (e.g. Python, VBA, LiveCode, etc)
- Experience in NERC reliability standards and ERCOT market rules
- Ability to have an attention to detail, being a team player, desire to learn new tasks, willing to take initiative on tasks, questioning attitude and a desire for continuous improvement.
