You Will Be Trusted To
- Serve as a key contact for LCRA business units for the various NERC and ERCOT compliance obligations and ensure time-sensitive compliance activities and dates are met.
- Assist with maintaining and revising LCRA compliance program policies, programs, and procedures related to regulatory obligations.
- Partner LCRA subject matter experts to periodically assesses the process and compliance framework for each of the regulatory standards and requirements to identify areas for improvement and enhancements.
- Develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls.
- Lead and coordinate meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
- Prepare for, coordinate, and support compliance audits conducted by internal resources, consultants, or regulatory agencies and coordinate efforts for instances of non-compliance.
- Maintain awareness of emerging utility industry issues through the participation in working groups, peer shares, and regulatory workshops.
- Solicit input from internal business units and subject matter experts and effectively communicate LCRA's position on proposed regulatory changes.
- Nine or more years of experience in engineering, business analysis, project management, regulatory analysis or regulatory compliance or other relevant experience.
- A degree(s) in engineering, math, science, business administration, project management or other relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Three or more years of experience regarding electrical power transmission, distribution or generation operations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a willingness to share knowledge with others.
- An understanding of NERC standards, ERCOT Operating Guides and Protocols and compliance.
- Compliance audit experience.
- Experience leading concurrent multi-year, sophisticated projects.
