What are the responsibilities and job description for the Solution Architect Lead position at LCRA?
You qualify with :
- Twelve or more years of experience supporting IT systems hardware, software or other relevant experience. Experience must include two or more years focused on architecture and design. A degree(s) in computer science, mathematics or relevant field may be substituted per LCRA guidelines for certain years of experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or mathematics
- Leading the design and implementation of robust, scalable, and secure IT solutions that align with our business objectives.
- Serving as a key member of the Enterprise Architecture governance team, ensuring compliance with SOC 2 Type 2, SSAE18, NERC CIP, and ISO27001 standards.
- Researching and prototyping innovative technology solutions to solve complex business challenges.
- Developing and governing service portfolios using standard methodologies, technology trends, and security considerations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to successfully implement network automation, cloud-centric design, and service delivery.
- Integrating operational technology with enterprise IT systems and application services, ensuring flawless functionality and security.
- Leading business continuity programs to ensure high availability and disaster recovery, applying load balancer solutions.
- Coordinating network design and implementation, with expertise in OSI model (Layer 2-7), TCP / IP, and various network technologies such as DNS, DHCP, load balancers, and WAN accelerators.
- Implementing virtualization and compute platforms, including converged / hyper-converged servers, SAN and storage platforms, and managing operating systems like Windows Server and Linux.
- Managing security technologies, including IPS / IDS and firewalls, to protect our organization’s IT infrastructure.
- Experience as a Network Architect.
- Professional level network design or consulting experience.
- A working knowledge of essential hardware and software components within an Operational Technology (OT) environment.
