Responsibilities
Management
- Maintain an accident-free job site at all times.
- Supervise all LCS personnel, subcontractors, and other job site personnel.
- Coordinate and assemble all necessary resources to construct the project in compliance with plans and specifications.
- In conjunction with Project Managers, review and approve all submittal data, shop drawings, and documentation from subcontractors and equipment suppliers.
- Coordinate with Project Managers, subcontractors, and material suppliers to resolve needs and conflicts before they become critical.
- Maintain LCS quality control standards throughout the project.
- Understand and achieve specific project goals.
- Construct a quality project in a cost-effective manner.
- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
- Read and interpret blueprints.
- Ensure the job site is kept clean and organized.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Aid in selecting manpower, equipment, construction methods, and sequencing operations; provide hands-on assistance as warranted.
- Assist Project Managers with bid solicitation, subcontractors, and equipment.
- Help with scheduling, estimating, and other construction-related activities as needed.
Safety
- Maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Train, oversee, and enforce all federal, state, and local safety code requirements, specifically Fed-OSHA and Cal-OSHA standards.
- Conduct weekly on-site safety meetings.
- Log and monitor a continuous safety program in compliance with LCS safety standards.
- Be responsible for all required on-site safety protocols.
- Familiarize yourself with the LCS Safety Manual and Safety Program.
Administration
- Communicate effectively via phone, emails, and written logs; use a camera for documentation.
- Maintain project status updates in PROCORE.
- Keep a daily log of job site activities throughout the project.
- Identify and complete job progress and completion punch lists.
- In conjunction with the Project Manager, review the project upon completion and assist in preparing closeout documents.
Time Management
- Plan and execute day-to-day work activities.
- Maintain the construction schedule throughout the project.
- Complete projects on time.
- Consistently meet deadlines.
- Manage competing demands and multiple tasks simultaneously.
Math and Budgeting
- Calculate figures and amounts accurately.
- Present numerical data effectively.
Analytical Skills
- Solve problems that arise during day-to-day operations.
- Identify deficient work and provide resolutions.
- Communicate construction progress conflicts to the project team for resolution.
- Anticipate and coordinate potential conflicts with LCS and subcontract trades.

- Manage customer relationships and ensure project and customer satisfaction.
- Handle difficult or emotional client situations effectively.
- Respond promptly to client needs.
- Establish and maintain cooperative, positive, and professional working relationships with customers, LCS personnel, subcontractors, and others involved in the project.
- Ensure subcontractor performance meets requirements.
- Maintain constructive relationships with all administrative agencies and inspectors.

Qualifications and Skills
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience with strong project management skills.
- Technical/complex (laboratory) construction project experience is a plus.
- Required: commercial and/or industrial construction experience.
Education
- High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, or Engineering preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Familiarity with Procore, MS Schedule, and accounting cost management software.
