Responsibilities
Management
- Maintain an accident-free job site at all times.
- Supervise all LCS personnel, subcontract personnel, and all other job site personnel on the project site.
- Coordinate and assemble all necessary resources available to construct the project in compliance with the plans and specifications.
- In conjunction with Project Managers, review and approve all submittal data, shop drawings, and other documentation received from Subcontractors and equipment suppliers.
- Coordinate with the Project Manager, Subcontractors, and material suppliers to ensure needs and conflicts are resolved before they become critical.
- Maintain LCS’ quality control standards throughout the project.
- Understand and achieve specific project goals.
- Construct a quality project in a cost-effective manner.
- Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Ensure the job site is kept in a clean and organized manner.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Aid in the selection of manpower, equipment, construction methods, sequencing operations and provide hands-on assistance as warranted.
- Assist Project Managers with solicitation of bids, subcontractors, and equipment.
- Assist in scheduling, estimating, and other construction-related activities for all projects as warranted.
Safety
- Maintain a safe work environment at all times.
- Train, oversee, and enforce all federal, state, county, and city safety code requirements; specifically, all Fed-OSHA and Cal–OSHA safety standards.
- Conduct weekly on-site safety meetings.
- Log and monitor a continuous safety program in compliance with LCS safety standards.
- Responsible for all required and necessary on-site safety requirements.
- Read and become knowledgeable with the LCS Safety Manual and Safety Program.
Administration
- Ability to communicate by phone, write logs, emails, and use a camera.
- Maintain project status updates in PROCORE.
- Maintain daily log (written) activities on the job site throughout the course of the project.
- Perform job progress and completion punch list identification and completion.
- In conjunction with the Project Manager, review the project after its completion and assist in the preparation of the closeout documents.
Time Management
- Plan and execute day-to-day work activities.
- Maintain construction schedule throughout the project.
- Ability to complete projects on schedule.
- Ability to consistently meet deadlines.
- Ability to manage competing demands and multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Ability to calculate figures and amounts.
- Ability to present numerical data effectively.
Analytical Skills
- Ability to solve problems that come up during day-to-day operations.
- Ability to identify deficient work and provide resolution.
- Identify conflicts in construction progress and communicate to the project team for resolution.
- Anticipate and coordinate current and future conflict with the LCS and Subcontract trades.

- Ability to manage customer relationships and ensure project and customer satisfaction.
- Manage difficult or emotional client situations.
- Respond promptly to client needs.
- Establish and maintain a cooperative, positive, and professional on-site working relationship with the customer, LCS personnel, Subcontractors, and all others related to the project.
- Establish and maintain a professional relationship with the Subcontractors and ensure their performance as required.
- Establish and maintain a positive and constructive relationship with all administrative agencies and inspectors.
Leadership
- Ability to create and support overall team morale.
- Ability to resolve conflicts, not blame.
- Provides productive and positive leadership for the project team.
The Superintendent reports directly to the Project Manager.
Qualifications and Skills
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years superintendent job site experience required.
- Technical and complex construction project experience desired.
- Commercial and/or industrial construction experience required.
Education
- High School or GED, Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture or Engineering
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, and Excel)
- Project management software
- Scheduling software
- Accounting cost management software
Important

- Ability to resolve complex issues with a “can-do” attitude.
Travel
Must be able to travel and work within Orange County, Los Angeles County, Riverside County, and San Diego County.
