This position leads a team of systems engineers, overseeing the strategic planning, implementation, and continuous improvement of key IT systems, including reporting, integrations, and technical configurations. The IT Manager provides technical leadership and guidance, driving the delivery of high-impact solutions that support organizational goals. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and serves as a technical subject matter expert, advising on system architecture and best practices.

This position reports to the IT Director, HCM Cloud & Timekeeping and leads IT System Engineers and IT Senior System Engineers.

The Role :

Lead the development and execution of a strategic roadmap development for reporting and integration platforms, aligning with business objectives and driving innovation in back-end processes.

Oversee the configuration, customization, and integration of LCS business systems, delivering solutions that enhance functionality and improve key metrics (e.g., efficiency, user experience).

Manage system infrastructure (compute, storage, backup, and virtualization) ensuring they are optimized for performance, security, and cost-efficiency. Collaborate with other technical teams to ensure systems architecture meets organizational needs.

Serve as the subject matter expert for system integrations, create, configure, maintain, and monitor files. Troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.

Provide technical guidance and support to cross-functional teams and stakeholders on system capabilities, best practices, and industry trends. Check team’s work for accuracy.

Partner with System Owners to help lead the implementation of system upgrades, patches, and enhancements, including planning, testing, and deployment activities, to ensure the stability and reliability of the platform.

Work with IT functional leads and business partners to gather and analyze requirements, translating them into technical solutions that optimize processes and workflows.

Manage and coordinate project activities, including planning, execution, and stakeholder communication, for projects impacting the user base and aligning with strategic initiatives.

Develop and maintain system documentation, including technical specifications and configuration guides, to support knowledge transfer and ensure system integrity.

Mentor and coach junior members of the IT team, providing guidance, support, and knowledge sharing opportunities to foster their professional growth and development.

Stay informed about emerging technologies, industry best practices, and system updates to recommend and implement innovative solutions and enhancements.

As needed, analyze and resolve the most complex tickets escalated by the team.

Responsible for the effective management and leadership of a team. This includes, but is not limited to : hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and managing performance, allocating compensation, effectively handling employee relations issues, managing terminations.

Drive initiatives to automate routine systems management tasks such as provisioning, monitoring, and backups, reducing manual interventions and lowering the risk of human error.

Responsible for the effective management and leadership of a team. This includes, but is not limited to : hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and managing performance, allocating compensation, effectively handling employee relations issues, managing terminations.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.

8 years of related experience required, (direct business systems experience preferred).

Minimum 2 years of experience leading a technical team.

Demonstrated experience in leading a team responsible for designing and implementing system integrations, ensuring seamless connectivity between various platforms and systems.

Advanced knowledge of SQL to understand tables and information to help with configuration.

Advanced analytical skills with the ability to critically evaluate and interpret complex technical documents and specifications.

Must be able to participate in architecture and product discussions with engineers, contributing to informed decisions.

Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality work within established deadlines.

Must be able to effectively consult with and influence large stakeholder groups and senior leadership.

Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and projects in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and delivering high-quality results.

Preferred qualifications :

Experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud, UKG, Mulesoft, Del Boomi, Snowflake, Azure, Python, or similar applications.

Certification or credential in system engineering or system management and a solid knowledge of system engineering principles, methods, and tools.

Background in application development.
