What are the responsibilities and job description for the Auditing & Assurance Supervisor position at LCW | Certified Public Accountants?
LCW CPAs, a rapidly growing Merrimack Valley CPA firm, is currently seeking to add a Supervisor | Audit & Assurance to our team.
As a Supervisor in our Audit & Assurance team, you will:
- Perform and supervise audit, review, or compilation procedures, including documenting work and completing clear and concise workpapers.
- Mentor and develop associates in technical and general matters.
- Prepare and supervise the preparation of financial statements.
- Ensure complete client satisfaction through open communication, managing/meeting deadlines and proactively sharing strategies.
- Remain committed to ongoing professional development.
- Develop an understanding of firm concepts and what places us above other firms, including the one-firm concept.
- Be enthusiastic about client needs and provide prompt service.
- Complete specific assignments under supervision in a technically competent manner within allotted time.
- Communicate problems and opportunities to the Managing Shareholder and/or Engagement Shareholder as appropriate.
- Develop personal and professional goals and periodically re-evaluate them and measure progress
- Performs other related duties, as assigned
Qualifications

Essential.
- Tremendous discretion, personal integrity, and a positive attitude.
- At least four years of recent public accounting experience with a focus on:
- Audit and assurance services for closely held business and not-for-profit entities; and
- Tax return preparation for related entities.
- A current and comprehensive understanding of current assurance, and tax laws and pronouncements.
- A willingness to support and participate in business development efforts.
- Thrives working in a team-based, fast paced environment.
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
- Currently possess an active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or be actively working towards obtaining it.
Nice to have.
- College degree in accounting is preferred.
- Bilingual in Spanish is a bonus but is not required.
- Experience with Citrix and CCH Engagement and CCH Axcess/ProFX are a plus.
