Overview
We are seeking a skilled Glazier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in installing, repairing, and replacing glass in various structures. This role requires a strong understanding of construction techniques and the ability to work with precision and attention to detail. As a Glazier, you will be responsible for ensuring that all glass installations meet safety standards and customer specifications.
Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and replace glass in showers, doors, railings and other structures.
- Measure glass to fit specific dimensions accurately.
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively.
- Work collaboratively with other construction professionals on-site.
- Ensure all installations comply with building codes and safety regulations.
- Perform heavy lifting as required during installations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area at all times.
- Assist in estimating materials needed for projects.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Glazier or in a related field such as interior glass and metals.
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools relevant to glass installation.
- Experience with misc. metals, finishing, framing, use of silicone a must.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 50 pounds) safely.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety protocols on construction sites is essential.
