POSITION SUMMARY
The Director of Compliance will develop a compliance oversight program for LDG in order to : 1) enable LDG to maintain an understanding of and compliance with affordable housing and regulatory programs applicable to the company’s business; and 2) provide leadership, strategic insight, guidance, and risk awareness regarding regulatory program obligations, changes and trends to LDG’s Ownership, Executive Leadership, Development, Asset Management and Property Management teams.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES (Including but not limited to) :
- Develop portfolio-wide monitoring procedures and implement process controls to ensure effective compliance with federal, state, and local housing and regulatory program requirements affecting LDG’s business (such as LIHTC, Bond, HUD, and other subsidy-related housing programs).
- Monitor new or changing regulatory requirements applicable to LDG’s business and communicate accordingly within the company.
- Partner with appropriate LDG teams and external parties to take corrective actions to timely resolve incidents of noncompliance, communicate responses and updates to applicable regulatory agencies as needed, and identify and correct root cause or systemic issues related to such incidents.
- Develop and implement compliance-related tracking and reporting processes in connection with applicable regulatory program requirements and incidents of noncompliance.

- Build proactive, positive relationships with and act as liaison to state housing finance agencies, HUD, public housing agencies, and other regulatory agencies.
- Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and develop corrective action plans to mitigate risk.
- Develop and oversee internal audit procedures to ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and related organizational policies.
- Provide guidance and support to LDG’s property management teams with respect to optimizing tenant application and first-year tenant file certification processes.
- Evaluate and recommend technological tools to streamline and enhance compliance-related processes.
- Develop and administer regulatory compliance training.
- Travel to accommodate job duties as necessary.
- Other duties as assigned.
