What are the responsibilities and job description for the Interior Design Assistant position at LDL Interiors, Inc?
We are seeking a part-time Interior Design Assistant to help with the organization and running of the daily operations of a high-end residential interior design firm located in Naples, FL. This position will provide support to the interior designers, and be able to assist designers in all phases of interior design. Experience in CAD, PowerPoint, Word, Sketchup, and Excel is required.
This is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate of a design program or student with internship experience. Must have a car and valid drivers license.
Responsibilities
- In person, in the office 4 days per week
- Create detailed CAD drawings and 3D models of interior spaces, including floor plans, elevations, and furniture layouts
- Source and select materials, finishes, and furnishings that align with the design concept and budget requirements
- Participate in client meetings and presentations, on-site and in the office, to discuss design concepts, revisions, and project updates ensuring the design vision is executed accurately to the client's satisfaction
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors to obtain quotes, order samples, and schedule deliveries for materials and furnishings
- Organize and maintain the materials library, including cataloging new samples and updating vendor contacts
Skills:
- Candidate must have a strong work ethic, be self motivated, extremely organized, and a team player with a can do attitude
- Completed at least (2) two years of interior design education or have graduated from an accredited interior design program
- Possess basic hand and proficient CAD drafting skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, SketchUp, and PowerPoint
- Ability to effectively meet deadlines and work in a team environment
- Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing
- Basic knowledge of current FF&E (Furniture, Fixture and Equipment) products and applications
