**Job Overview:**
Hiring for Tuesdays and Wednesdays 8 am to 4 pm (or 9-5 can be flexible upon hire), and every other Saturday from 11-5. Our client needs 1:1 support throutout the day to help him navigate and process daily life. Staff provides verbal prompts and instructional direction; no personal cares are needed. Staff takes client out into the community for social engagement and life enrichment; staff very much is an activity director. This position is pretty laid back with no physical labor. This is ideal for anyone that is creative, likes to be around people and enjoys keeping busy.
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with disabilities in their daily lives.
**Responsibilities:**
- Provide direct support to individuals with disabilities
- Assist with behavior redirection and implementation of care plans
- Engage in activities and support daily living skills
- Drive individuals to community outings
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations
- Utilize systems for documentation and reporting
**Requirements:**
- Experience in direct support or related field preferred
- Proficiency in behavior management techniques
- Familiarity with working with people with disabilities
- Valid driver's license
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and confidentiality practices
- Ability to navigate systems for documentation and reporting
