What are the responsibilities and job description for the Restaurant Manager position at LDV Hospitality Group?
Restaurant Manager assists in direction, coordination, planning, organizing,
training, and leadership of the restaurant and its staff necessary to achieve
stated objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and
satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness and sanitation. Additional responsibilities include all beverage administrative activity, including
organization and promotion of beverage offerings, education and inventory
updating.
ACCOUNTABILITIES : Operations :
- Assist General Manager in creating a
positive, respectful work environment.

Ensure restaurant managers are properly trained, and expected
performance levels are maintained on a daily basis.
Ensure that
all restaurant policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, and training
programs are followed and completed
on a timely basis
Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to LDV Hospitality's recipes, portioning, cooking and serving standards
Control inventories of Beverage, equipment, small ware, and report shortages as necessary
Purchase or requisition supplies and equipment
needed to ensure
quality and timely
delivery of services
Perform POS functions including comps, voids and transfers,
back of house menu and employee
administration
Promote and practice
safe work habits
through staff trainings and education
Identify and resolve potential safety
hazard throughout the operation
Ensure that all guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly, and courteous service at all times
Actively build and maintain the reputation
of LDV Hospitality in the community, including monitoring Yelp! and other
online reviews and taking necessary recovery and recognition steps with
guests and team members.
Maintain knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal
networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional societies
assigned by the General Manager or Managing Partners
Staff
Management :
Achieve Company objectives in sales, service, quality, appearance of
facility and sanitation and cleanliness through training of employees and
creating a positive, productive working environment .
Manage Front of House staff in their daily responsibilities, providing
clear, effective direction
Ensure no members of staff are permitted to work if they are not
suitably dressed or groomed
Establish regular communication with Front and Back of House team,
including pre-shifts, meetings, trainings, etc.
Ensure all new hires are thoroughly trained on the expectations of LDV
service standards, kitchen protocols, recipes, product quality and overall
product presentation
Ensure a healthy, safe, clean and pleasant environment for team members,
implementing FOH and BOH cleaning, sanitation, and food & beverage handling
procedures
Ensure every new team member is properly onboarded
Administrative :
Perform various financial activities, such as cash handling,
deposit preparation, etc.
Control cash and other receipts by adhering to cash handling and
reconciliation procedures in accordance with restaurant policies and procedures
Compile and balance cash receipts at the end of the day
Prepare all required paperwork in an organized and timely manner
Ensure accidents are documented following proper procedure,
conduct initial investigation and determination of root cause of safety
incidents in the interest of maintaining a safe work environment
Investigate and resolve all employee complaints with the HR team
QUALIFICATIONS :
2 years of related work experience
Positive leadership characteristics, which inspire team members to meet and exceed standards
Polished personal presentation; grooming meets LDV Hospitality standards, as outlined by Employee Handbook
A can-do attitude
and is willing to jump into any role as needed.
Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule, per the needs of
the business
Ability to utilize
traditional computer programs such as Gmail, Microsoft Office
Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint), POS and
any additional systems
spelling and grammar; Varies writing style to meet needs; Presents numerical
data effectively; Able to read and interpret written information
