Job Summary: Responsible for patient check-in, treating all patients in a professional and courteous manner. Reviews patient charts to verify necessary information and signatures have been obtained. Enters new patient information into computer. Ensures the patient feels welcome to the practice.
Education and Experience:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Two-year minimum experience in medical spa environment.
3. Experience in a similar capacity involving direct communication with the public, preferably in a medical or retail setting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Patient Check-In
· Greets each patient warmly upon arrival, determines needs and ensures efficient transfer of care to other staff member as appropriate
· Responsible for patient check-in, greeting each patient in a pleasant and professional manner.
· Tracks patients in the reception area and communicates with them as needed.
· Evaluates chart data to verify all information has been received and completed, and signatures obtained.
· Confirms with each patient upon each visit that patient information on file with the practice is accurate and up to date. Accurately records updates and corrections as needed.
· Ensures that proper authorization or referral is collected from each patient.
· Enters all new patient demographic information into the computer.
· Marks arrival time of patients in office and makes sure that patients are seen on time.
2. Administrative
· Places telephone calls to new patients to confirm upcoming appointments and verifies information required of the patient at the time of appointment.
· Places telephone calls to no-show appointments; reschedules as needed.
· Provides back-up support on telephones.
· Inspects reception room for neatness.
· Performs other duties as required.
· Assists other front office personnel as needed.
2. Monitoring of Waiting Room
· Regularly checks on patients in the waiting room to ensure each is comfortable. Reassures those patients subject to excessive waits and informs clinical staff of status as needed. Ensures furnishings and magazines are orderly and clean. Checks that departing patients appear able to travel safely from the office.
3. Telephone Calls
· Serves as primary individual responsible for answering telephone calls to the practice. Greets each patient warmly, listens carefully, then directs the call appropriately.
4. Clerical Duties
· Provides assistance in medical chart preparation and maintenance, scheduling, data entry, and other tasks as required.
5. Other Duties
· Performs other duties and assumes various responsibilities as determined by the supervisor.

Tuesday: 10:30am-8:30pm
Friday: 8:30am-3:30pm
Saturday: 8:30am-3:30pm Rotate (1 Saturday per month)
Pay: $19.00 - $23.00 per hour
