OVERVIEW
The Senior Project Manager (Sr. PM) encompasses all the responsibilities outlined in the PM II job description, with the added capability to oversee any project within LeJeune Steel due to their extensive expertise and proven track record. Sr. PMs are adept at managing large-scale, fast-paced, intricate, and high-risk projects, such as high-rise buildings, large (5,000 ton) healthcare facilities, professional sports stadiums, D1 college arenas and stadiums, and structures with long-span roofs. They are proficient in taking on a lead PM role when a project requires more than one project manager.
In addition to their project management duties, Sr. PMs play a crucial role in coaching other team members. While all members of the PM team are expected to provide leadership and contribute to training initiatives, Sr. PMs are specifically assigned as a coach for newer team members. It's important to note that a Senior PM does not have direct reports. A portion of the evaluation criteria for a Senior PM is their coaching efforts with their assignees.
Furthermore, Sr. PMs may be entrusted with refining and establishing processes and procedures utilized by the team, contributing to the continuous improvement of project management practices.
In summary, a Sr. PM at LeJeune Steel is typically a seasoned project management professional with the proficiency and willingness to oversee diverse and challenging projects while actively participating in the development of the project management team through structured coaching.
