- LSHEA Bargaining Agreement: This is for applicants with a Minnesota Teaching License only (no administrative license).
- Admin Bargaining Agreement: This is for applicants with a valid administrative license.
- Valid Minnesota Department of Education Teaching License and/or a Sports Management degree.
- Head Coaching License or ability to meet MSHSL head coaching requirements.
- Valid Driver's License in Minnesota.
- Exceptional communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong ability to build meaningful relationships with students, families, staff, and the broader community.
- Proven experience in fostering a strong school spirit and promoting student engagement.
- Demonstrated competence in conflict resolution, staff/student motivation, supervision, and on-site management.
- Head Coaching Experience (either current or former).
- Experience working with youth programs.
- Program Development & Delivery: Design and oversee a diverse range of activities, ensuring programs are engaging, inclusive, and aligned with school goals.
- Staffing & Leadership: Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate coaches and activity advisors district-wide. Provide ongoing support and feedback to help staff succeed.
- Budgeting & Financial Oversight: Develop, manage, and monitor activity budgets, ensuring financial responsibility and sustainability.
- Community Engagement: Foster strong relationships with families, local businesses, booster groups, and other stakeholders to enhance support for activities.
- Public Relations & Communication: Represent the school at community events, meetings, and School Board sessions. Keep all stakeholders informed through regular updates and meetings.
- Program Evaluation: Continuously assess the effectiveness of activity programs, make data-driven adjustments, and implement improvements as needed.
- Fundraising & Resource Development: Work with booster groups and the community to create and sustain fundraising efforts for programs and facilities.
- Policy & Compliance: Ensure adherence to school district policies and MSHSL regulations. Assist in the implementation of district-wide administrative directives.
- Lead initiatives to increase student participation in both athletic and non-athletic activities.
- Provide resources and mentorship to coaches and advisors to enhance program success.
- Attend workshops, training sessions, and conferences to stay updated on best practices in school activities management.
