What are the responsibilities and job description for the Assistant Teacher position at Le Village Des Plaines?
Mentors (Assistant Teachers) - We offer great pay and room to develop your career!
Le Village is a child-centric co-working space for parents. We are a franchise location set to open in January 2025 in Des Plaines, IL. We are currently seeking assistant teachers, or “Mentors” as we like to call them, for our Wigglers (~3-18 mos), Wobblers (~18 mos-2 years), and Explorers (~2-3.5 years). We offer our teachers great pay, a supportive work environment, and a carefully designed curriculum, as well as a leadership team that values communication and is invested in your career!
The Company: Le Village is a co-working space that offers limited on-site childcare for 3-hour segments Monday through Friday. Parents can book as many segments as they like. During that time, parents can step away to a quiet space onsite to work and pop over to check on their little ones as time allows. After 3 hours, we ask that they take a break from "the office" and spend at least 45 minutes of 1-on-1 time with their munchkin. We are not a daycare.
During the time that children are in “Village Care” classrooms, we offer learning opportunities for them. Your job will be to assist our lead teachers with these learning experiences.
The Position: We’re looking for assistant teachers known as Mentors. This is an hourly position earning $15/hour with the opportunity to work 20 hours per week. Each class is led by 1 lead teacher who will have 1-2 classroom assistants (Mentors) depending on enrollment. We are seeking hands-on, motivated assistant teachers who truly love spending time with early learners.
- We want to encourage your growth as a professional. We offer all clients and employees community and developmental classes to expand their connections, enhance their skill sets, and further their careers. You would not only be a teacher at a school, but also an important member of our community.
