You will report to the VP of Global Business Development and partner with our global business leaders and team members to develop client relationships and solutions within North America. This role can work remotely or in any number of ECT2 office locations. A DAY IN THE LIFE As a key leader on our team, you will focus on client relationships and business development activities primarily within the water treatment market. You will report to the VP of Global Business Development and collaborate with our operations team to provide value to our customers. This role will be responsible for a full range of activities including: Prospecting and identify strategic accounts and opportunities within your territory. Creating and/or leading market/territory-specific marketing campaigns in conjunction with marketing and product management departments. Qualifying leads via phone, email, and research. Travel (approximately 30-40%) to represent ECT2 at conferences, trade shows, industry events and face-to-face calls with prospects across the US either individually or as part of a larger team. Serving as the main point of contact for ECT2 customers. Developing solutions for your clients by working with and leveraging the extensive technical resources of the ECT2 network and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs). Managing the funnel from initial client contact through purchase order finalization. Cultivating existing relationships and looking to develop strategies to grow key relationships Escalating client questions and concerns to management to ensure client satisfaction. Maintaining the company CRM (Salesforce) with all leads, opportunities, prospects, customers, activities, etc. to track metrics, share analytics and insights with leaders to drive activity and support the overall health of the business. Preparing monthly reports highlighting sales, quote activity, pipeline forecast, salient client commentary, and market conditions (identify opportunities and risks). Supporting the development of strategies that improve the quality and depth of market and competitor intelligence to influence and enhance win probability. Performing other duties and responsibilities as prescribed by the Company. YOUR EXPERTISE AND SKILLS To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. BS/BA in Engineering, Chemistry, or related technical field, and/or equivalent experience Proven track record of success in business development for technical solutions, preferably water treatment technology and environmentally related Strong technical background with the ability to learn and understand technical content Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to listen and problem-solve Highly motivated, determined, and target driven Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and execute in a fast-paced environment Excellent time-management and organizational skills Professional demeanor and strong internal and external customer-service skills Proficient with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook Familiarity with CRM best practices Familiarity with data analysis and reporting The above statements are intended to describe the general nature of work being performed by people assigned to this classification.
