JOB SUMMARY
The Orthopedic Surgeon provides direct clinical treatment services to patients on an outpatient basis, performs surgical procedures necessary for treatment, ensuring that patients receive the treatment necessary to treat their emergency medical complaint.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Saint Francis Healthcare System is seeking an Orthopedic Surgeon to join Advanced Orthopedic Specialists. With more than eighty years of experience and top-in-the-nation rankings for low infection rates and quality outcomes, Advanced Orthopedic Specialists is committed to making a real difference in the lives of their patients.
Responsibilities:
- Works constructively and collaboratively with other health professionals.
- Focuses on attaining high standards of healthcare in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Duties may include patient care, instructing, monitoring, afterhours and weekend call and advising other health care professionals, as appropriate.

- 35-40 clinic patients each day, 12-15 surgical cases per week.

Education:
- Doctorate Required
Certification & Licensures:
- Medical license in the State of Missouri
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
- Must also maintain a Controlled Substance license for the State of Missouri and Federal DEA.
- Must have successfully completed, an accredited residency program.
- Must maintain active medical privileges and medical memberships.
- Must be Board Certified within 2 years of hire date.
Experience:
- Competent in delivery of healthcare services for ages 0 to 120 years.
- Age specific competency is measured by a variety of methods, which may include, but not be limited to, self-learning packets, review of age specific guidelines, direct observation, video, simulation, unit-based class, policies and procedures, or chart review.
