POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Atlanta Braves are seeking motivated and detail-oriented candidates for our Hawk-Eye Operator position at our minor league affiliate in Lawrenceville, GA. The Hawk-Eye Operator will be responsible for running the Hawk-Eye system at the Atlanta Braves' AAA Affiliate (Gwinnett Stripers) during each home game.
RESPONSIBIITIES:
- For the entirety of the game, utilize the Hawk-Eye software to identify and tag individual pitches and play results
- Arrive at least one hour prior to game time to calibrate the Hawk-Eye system, input starting lineups, and navigate potential roster changes
- Utilize Hawk-Eye logger to chart games while monitoring the Hawk-Eye tracking software for errors that require user intervention
- Note in-game pitching changes, pinch hitters, and defensive substitutions
- After the game, submit Hawk-Eye data to the Atlanta Braves
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Prior baseball coaching/playing experience (High School, College, or Professional preferred)
- Knowledge of baseball rules, scoring, and statistics
- Exceptional verbal communication skills and computer skills
- Ability to exhibit intense focus for an entire game
- Flexible schedule: able to work nights, weekends, and holidays
- Able to successfully complete a background check
