Overview
We are seeking a grounded, compassionate, and reliable individual to provide one-on-one mentorship and life skills support to a neurodivergent young adult client in Rhinebeck, NY.
This role blends emotional attunement, executive function coaching, and daily structure to help the client grow toward independence and empowerment. You'll assist with routines, social development, employment support, medication administration, and community-based activities. This is a relationship-centered position requiring consistency, flexibility, firm boundaries, and effective conflict resolution skills.

Responsibilities
- Provide in-person, one-on-one mentorship rooted in consistency and relational trust
- Support executive function strategies (time management, planning, organization)
- Facilitate life skills such as cooking, transportation, hygiene, and budgeting
- Assist the client in setting and working toward SMART (Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Time-bound) goals
- Coach social skills and help the client navigate real-time interpersonal challenges
- Administer daily medication with care and consistency
- Transport the client to appointments and community outings as needed
- Assist with employment responsibilities, including workplace communication and accountability
- Model conflict resolution and maintain a calm, grounded emotional presence
- Join the client in meaningful recreational activities (e.g., martial arts, nature walks, art projects)
- - Collaborate with the broader support team: family, caseworkers, career coach, psychiatrist

Skills a Candidate Must Possess
- Be emotionally attuned, calm, and consistent

- Have experience supporting neurodivergent individuals (e.g., ADHD, autism, mood challenges)
- Be comfortable administering medication as part of a daily routine
- Have a background in wilderness therapy, counseling, mentoring, education, or social work
- Hold a valid driver's license and be able to pass a background check
- Have a reliable personal vehicle for transportation during shifts
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 10 – 12 per week
