CFP Service Advisor – Financial Planning
Position Overview:
The Service Advisor plays a crucial role in managing and servicing a subset of United’s clients, assisting in financial planning, and supporting business growth through warm prospect conversations. This role offers significant growth potential, with future opportunities to:
- Transition into a Lead Advisor, working with a Client Service Associate (CSA) and Service Advisor to manage client relationships.
- Manage a team of advisors as the firm continues to expand.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Relationship Management
- Manage and maintain strong relationships with a subset of United’s clients.
- Provide exceptional financial planning and client service, ensuring client needs are met efficiently.
- Financial Planning & Business Development
- Conduct warm prospect introduction calls and close clients for one-time financial plans (no cold outreach required).
- Build, present, and deliver tailored financial plans to new clients.
- Convert one-time planning clients into ongoing wealth management or subscription clients.
- Support for Lead Advisor & Firm Growth
- Assist the Lead Advisor/Owner with servicing high-value clients, including email delegation, responding to quick inquiries, and administrative support.
- Help refine and enhance the firm's financial planning process.
Qualifications
- Experience & Certifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Financial Planner.
- Certified Financial Planner (CFP) certification is REQUIRED.
- CPA, Enrolled Agent, or CFA designation is a plus.
- Experience in investment management or tax planning is highly desirable.
- Skills & Attributes
- Strong client relationship management and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Interest in professional growth with the flexibility to:
- Become a Lead Advisor, working with a CSA and Service Advisor to develop business and maintain client relationships.
- Step into a management role, leading Service Advisors and CSAs while overseeing the financial planning process.
- Advisors with an existing client base are strongly encouraged to apply (high revenue share for clients transitioned in year one).
