Role Description: The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist will act as a gatekeeper to ensure the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the lending origination processes. The Senior Quality Assurance Specialist will be responsible for the identification and tracking of missing documentation.
\n- Review new, renewed, and modified loans for accuracy and compliance before loan closing
- Review closed loans for accuracy and completeness
- Review collateral agreed upon in the promissory note for completeness
- Ensure proper insurance has been applied
- Champion of FDICIA for Loan Operations system and processes
- Quarterly testing of loan system control points for FDICIA compliance
- Review and reporting of Loan System Release Notes
- Possessory collateral management
- Annual Appraiser review and tracking
- CRA applicable review
- FHLB loan pledging verification
- Potential future HMDA champion
- Collaborate with Lending team members to facilitate a high level of integrity as it relates to data in Sageworks and loan packages
- Be responsible for the identification and tracking of missing documentation
- Act as an integral member of the client engagement team that will be involved in each transaction within an assigned portfolio
- Perform pre-closing and post-closing reviews of all new or modified loan transactions
- Analyze executed documents for accuracy and completeness
- Identify any closing errors and/or missing items.
- Ensure required loan file documentation is accurately scanned into the system of record
- Review and clear loan file maintenance alerts promptly
- Use the core system and associated query software to monitor loan system data integrity by spotting data inconsistencies
- Perform all other duties as assigned
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in processing, document preparations or post-closing commercial and consumer loans
- Experience in operational support in a fast-paced and high-volume loan department
- Extensive knowledge of Commercial and Consumer loan products
- Knowledge of HMDA, CRA and FDICIA
- Ability to understand and use data derived from systems to determine data integrity
- Microsoft suite or Google Drive of products including experience in excel or similar data management programs
- Excellent communication skills
