Job Overview
Lead Me On Resort is seeking a dedicated and passionate Kennel Manager to oversee the daily operations of our resort. Duties
- Supervise daily operations of the kennel, including staff management and scheduling.
- Ensure the health and well-being of all animals in care through proper feeding, and exercise.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards throughout the facility.
- Coordinate and manage medical records for all animals.
- Train staff on proper animal handling techniques and safety protocols.
- Develop and implement enrichment programs for pets to promote their physical and mental well-being.
- Handle customer inquiries, provide information about services, and maintain positive relationships with pet owners.
- Manage inventory of supplies needed for animal care and facility maintenance.
Skills
- Knowledge of dog training methods to assist with behavioral issues.
- Strong animal handling skills to ensure safe interactions with various breeds.
- Familiarity with animal restraint techniques for safe handling
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required when handling larger breeds or moving supplies.
- A genuine passion for animal care, demonstrating compassion and understanding towards all animals.
Customer Service & Reception Duties: check in dogs make reservations, and handle inquiries
Leadership & Training – Support and oversee kennel assistants and provide training as needed
Daily Operations – Assist in managing overall facility operations
Client Communication – Engage with customers in person, via email, and over the phone
Pet Care Coordination – Prepare and administer food and medication
Cleanliness & Organization – Ensure the facility remains clean and well-maintained
Requirements:
Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and takes direction well
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Leadership experience preferred
- one year of experience in the pet industry preferred but willing to train the right person
- Strong teamwork skills and a willingness to assist other departments as needed
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in computer systems, including Microsoft Office
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Physically active role—requires being on your feet in a fast-paced setting
- Comfortable working with dogs of all sizes and handling up to 60 lbs

Pay: $11.50 - $13.50 per hour
