Electrician with Heavy Pipe Experience – Job Description
Position Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Electrician with strong heavy conduit (pipe) installation experience to join our team. This role involves performing electrical installations, maintenance, and troubleshooting on commercial and industrial job sites, with a focus on bending, threading, and installing rigid conduit (EMT, PVC, and GRC). The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of electrical systems and codes, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments
Measure, cut, thread, and bend heavy conduit (EMT, PVC, RMC) using hand and power tools
Pull, route, and secure electrical wiring through conduit systems
Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and code specifications
Mount and connect electrical panels, switchgear, disconnects, outlets, and lighting systems
Perform terminations and troubleshoot electrical components and systems
Ensure work is compliant with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and site-specific safety requirements
Collaborate with other trades on site to coordinate tasks and resolve issues
Follow all company safety protocols and OSHA standards
Requirements:
3 years of electrical experience in commercial or industrial settings
Strong knowledge and experience in heavy pipe/conduit installation
Ability to read blueprints and electrical diagrams
Proficient in using benders, threaders, and related electrical tools
Knowledge of NEC and local electrical codes
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
