Position Summary :
LEAD Technical has partnered with a leading manufacturing company andis seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to lead the Accounting Department attheirSmithville, TN facility. Thiscritical leadership role isresponsible for managing the accounting team, overseeing financial reporting, and maintaining strong internal controls. The ideal candidate will bring 7-10 years of experience in an accounting management and leadership role , ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency in financial operations.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities :
- Oversee and manage the financial close process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting principles.
- Review and approve payroll, payments, reconciliations, and journal entries.
- Analyze financial statements, including Income Statements and Balance Sheets.
- Prepare and review STRAVIS financial reports monthly, quarterly, and annually before final submission.
- Implement and maintain organizational structure, workflow optimization, and enforcement of financial policies.
- Lead and conduct skill assessments, training plans, and performance reviews for the accounting team.
- Prepare reports, presentations, and financial slides as required.
- Serve as the primary contact for internal and external audits.
- Lead the annual physical inventory process.
- Act as a backup for accounting team members as needed.
Experience and Education Requirements :
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field with 7-10 years of experience leading accounting professionals in a management role, OR
Advanced Microsoft Excel skillsrequired,familiarity with other Microsoft Office products.
Strong leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
