Position : Facility Electrician
Location : BOSK
Job Type : Full Time
Reports to : Maintenance Manager
Department : Maintenance
Position Purpose : Provide industrial electrical maintenance support and analysis to assist Leadec in maintaining improving the capability of machinery and equipment to achieve BOSK objectives.
Job Summary :
Responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting.
Work with a variety of tools and equipment to diagnose and fix electrical problems.
Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the layout of electrical systems and controls.
Have a thorough understanding of electrical codes and safety regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in industrial settings.
Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
Troubleshoot problems and diagnose issues with electrical systems and equipment.
Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and diagrams to install and maintain electrical systems and equipment.
Install and maintain electrical control systems for industrial machinery and equipment.
Ensure compliance with electrical codes, standards, and regulations.
Collaborate with other tradespeople, such as engineers, mechanics, and technicians, to complete projects and repairs.
Provide training and guidance to apprentices and other junior electricians.
Keep accurate records of work performed and maintain inventory of required equipment and supplies.

Participate in the development of a Standardized Maintenance Practices for all Leadec activities.
Participate in the hiring process for new employees as required.
Participate with BOSK plant personnel in supplier equipment "buy-off" activities as required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
Experience with electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
Knowledge of safety procedures and regulations related to industrial electrical work.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Physical ability to work in confined spaces and at heights.
Experience working in industrial settings such as factories, plants, or warehouses.
Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
Willingness to keep up with industry developments and advancements.
Skilled in Root Cause based maintenance practices.
Exceptional planning, communication, and Leadership skills.
Position Qualifications :
High school diploma.
Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent training and experience.
Three plus years of experience in Industrial Electrician Maintenance related duties.
Licensing and certification as an electrician a plus.
Knowledge of PLC programming and control systems is a plus.
Physical Requirements :
The employee is also required to talk and / or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate). The employee is frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surface from 4-8 hours. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The vision requirements : close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and adjust focus.
Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with necessary time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
