Summary
The Assistant Commercial Lender provides ongoing client service and documentation support as the SVP Chief Lending Officers liaison on assigned commercial accounts. The Assistant Commercial Lender determines pertinent information to gather from a variety of sources, coordinates preparation and review of loan documentation, and is responsible for the processing and maintenance of all commercial loan files. They will also provide operational and administrative support to ensure a smooth workflow between various departments.
This is a great opportunity for Commercial Credit Analysts or Commercial Portfolio Managers to advance as an Assistant Commercial Lender under the guidance and mentorship of the SVP Chief Lending Officer. This will be a hybrid role associated with our Corporate Office in Arlington, MA.
Responsibilities
Verifies evidence of insurance and requests updated financial information.
Assist in managing portfolio risk by highlighting maturities, overdrafts, and delinquencies.
Verifies and processes client advances on lines of credit.
Liaise with attorneys to assist in resolving any closing issues.
Request and retrieve missing legal documentation from borrowers and attorneys.
Assist clients with commercial banking needs including advances and new accounts.
Track financial statements and tax returns for both borrower and guarantors and send updates to credit and loan closing as needed.
File documentation in electronic files.
Track and request environmental reports, appraisals, and construction consultants.
Assist in managing pipeline and portfolio by updating various construction reports, organizing draw requests, and monitoring construction budgets and pipeline reports.
Provided day-to-day administrative support.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree and experience in working in commercial banking is required.
Knowledge of computers and lending software.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
Good communication and organizational skills.
Ability to prioritize workflow in a multi-tasking environment.
Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with the team.
