Assistant Basketball Instructor

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Basketball Instructor to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about teaching the game of basketball and working with students in a supportive environment. The Assistant Basketball Instructor will assist lead instructors in basketball and math. This position offers an opportunity to gain valuable experience while contributing to the development of students' skills and confidence.

Duties
- Support lead instructors in planning and executing lesson plans for classes.
- Assist in teaching students various skills related to basketball and math.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants during classes and activities.
- Provide feedback and encouragement to students to foster their growth and development.
- Help maintain a clean and organized instructional environment.
- Monitor student progress and assist with any challenges they may face.
- Engage with parents or guardians regarding student performance when necessary.

Qualifications
- Experience working with students in a childcare or educational setting is mandatory.
- Background in sports coaching, or physical education is highly desirable.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
- A passion for teaching and helping students achieve their goals.
- Ability to demonstrate patience, empathy, and understanding towards students of varying skill levels.
- Must be able to pass any required background checks related to working with children.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 per week

Schedule:

• After school
• Monday to Friday

Experience:

• Teaching: 2 years (Required)
• Sports coaching: 2 years (Required)
• Basketball: 5 years (Preferred)

Ability to Relocate:

• Baltimore, MD 21215: Relocate before starting work (Required)
