Knappen Milling: Bulk Storage Supervisor

We began as a specialty flour mill producing bran products for the growing cereal industry and have continued to grow and increase our business with cereal, snack food, and wheat-based industries.
We are seeking a Bulk Storage Supervisor to oversee our Bulk Storage and Warehouse operations, a motivated leader with a passion for accountability, teamwork, and excellence. This role is critical to ensuring seamless product storage, shipping, and inventory management while fostering a culture of care and collaboration among team members.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and train a team of 7-10 hourly union employees across three shifts, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
- Provide clear direction, hold employees accountable, and address challenges head-on with effective communication and leadership.
- Oversee inventory management, daily paperwork, and food safety documentation to meet and exceed industry standards.
- Collaborate closely with the Mill Production Supervisor and Production Scheduler to coordinate outgoing product, storage, and trucking.
- Maintain high standards of safety and sanitation, ensuring compliance with company policies and food safety regulations.
- Perform hands-on work, including training employees on operational tasks such as harness use and truck loading.
- Proactively inspect materials, equipment, and production records to identify and address potential issues.
- Manage and establish work schedules, production goals, and maintenance routines.

- Has supervisory experience: Previous leadership in a food industry or manufacturing setting is ideal but not required if you have a strong drive and aptitude.
