What does a day as an IT Security and Compliance Specialist look like?
As a member of the IT team, you may perform a variety of responsibilities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Monitoring and auditing the company’s IT systems to ensure that all policies are being followed
- Identifying vulnerabilities in the network and IT systems
- Monitoring system usage to ensure compliance with security policies
- Conducting audits and security risk assessments
- Coordinating all external audit activities involving IT by facilitating communications, gathering audit evidence from other departments, coordinating evidence sharing, and meeting with auditors to discuss potential findings and review audit reports
- Staying current with security trends, threats and regulations
What is the schedule? Our hours for this position are 8:00 am to 5:00pm Monday through Friday. Sometimes giving top-notch member service may require a little overtime, but we value work-life-balance and do our best to limit this.
Does your skillset and experience line up? For this role, we are looking for someone who:
- Has 1-3 years of similar or related experience
- Has a bachelor's degree
- Understands industry standards regarding system and network security
- Has a strong comprehension of network and application architecture
- Must have very strong communication skills (both written and verbal)
