We are currently seeking a Childcare Administrator to manage the day-to-day operations and ensure the success of our center while maintaining a focus on the wellbeing and development of the children in our care.
Job Summary:
The Administrator will oversee the daily operations of the childcare facility, ensuring that the center operates in compliance with Ohio state regulations and offers a high standard of care and education. This role requires strong leadership, organizational skills, and a passion for early childhood education. The ideal candidate will have experience managing staff, managing budgets, and maintaining regulatory compliance while creating a positive and supportive environment for both staff and children.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all operational aspects of the childcare center, ensuring the facility runs smoothly and efficiently.
- Supervise and manage staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure compliance with Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) regulations, state licensing standards, and health and safety requirements.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate center policies, procedures, and programs to enhance educational outcomes and meet the needs of the children and families we serve.
- Maintain accurate records for children, staff, and financial operations.
- Collaborate with parents to discuss their child’s progress and any concerns they may have.
- Prepare and manage the center's budget, including tuition, expenses, and supplies.
- Coordinate staff meetings, professional development, and ongoing training to support employee growth and ensure high standards of care.
- Promote a positive, inclusive, and engaging atmosphere for both staff and children.
- Address any issues related to children’s behavior, family concerns, or staff conflicts in a timely and professional manner.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma, CDA certification, and/or Associate's degree.
- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience) preferred.
- Knowledge of Ohio state childcare regulations, licensing requirements, and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience with budgeting, financial management, and staff scheduling.
- CDA, CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain certification).
- Passion for working with children and supporting staff in providing high-quality care and education.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $15.00 - $21.00 per hour
