What you’ll focus on:
· Support the Service Manager by handling customer inquiries both over the phone and in the shop, ensuring exceptional service and prompt solutions
· Help manage the assignment of jobs to technicians according to their skills and knowledge
· Step in to help with repairs as needed to ensure timely completion
· Optimize workflow by coordinating and staging the next piece of equipment for technicians, ensuring a seamless transition between jobs for maximum efficiency
· Thoroughly review repair orders to guarantee accuracy and completeness
· Participate in reconditioning, set-up, and inspections of new and used equipment
· Inspect completed repairs with a keen eye for detail, ensuring every machine leaving the shop meets the highest standards of performance and reliability
· Works with all the technicians to achieve a minimum of 85% productivity & efficiency
· Inspect, repair and inventory special tools
· Fills the Service Manager role in their absence
· Uphold safety standards and support the Store Manager in conducting safety meetings
· Flexible to assist the Parts Department with excess workload as needed.
· Ensure customer satisfaction, keep our service department running smoothly and support the team with other tasks as assigned
What we need from you:
· 5 years of repair experience with a track record of exceeding performance goals
· Strong leadership skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team
· Solid experience with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems in off-road, construction, or heavy equipment
· Ability to use diagnostic tools, technical manuals, and computer-based repair systems
· Excellent communication skills – both verbal and written
· High School Diploma or GED
· Even better if you have (although not required to apply):
· Experience using Service Advisor or other diagnostic software
· Associates degree
