Low Voltage Technician

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Low Voltage Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting low voltage systems, including but not limited to security systems, fire alarms, and surveillance equipment. This role requires a strong understanding of cabling, schematics, and system design to ensure the effective operation of various low voltage applications.

Duties

• Install and configure low voltage systems such as CCTV, fire alarms, and access control systems.
• Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on existing systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Utilize power tools and hand tools for installation and repair tasks.
• Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and configurations.
• Collaborate with clients to assess their needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Document all work performed, including system designs and modifications.
• Provide field service support as needed to address client concerns or system failures.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in low voltage technology.

Experience

• Proven experience in low voltage installation or related fields is preferred.
• Familiarity with locksmithing techniques is a plus.
• Proficiency in using remote access software for system management is beneficial.
• Experience with cabling practices and standards is essential.
• Knowledge of surveillance systems and their components is required.
• Understanding of fire alarm systems and relevant codes is advantageous.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail are necessary for success in this role.
