Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Medical Equipment Technician to join our team. As a Medical Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for the delivery, installation, and maintenance of medical equipment. This is a vital role in ensuring that patients receive the necessary equipment for their healthcare needs.
Duties:
- Deliver and install medical equipment to healthcare facilities and patient homes
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on medical equipment
- Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment issues
- Ensure proper functioning and calibration of equipment
- Provide training to healthcare professionals and patients on the proper use of equipment
- Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, repairs, and maintenance
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate delivery schedules and routes
Skills:
- Strong physical stamina for moving and lifting heavy medical equipment
- Proficiency in driving manual transmission vehicles, including box trucks and vans
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare professionals and patients
- Knowledge of route driving for efficient delivery of equipment
- Customer service-oriented approach to ensure patient satisfaction
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
