What are the responsibilities and job description for the Intern, Data position at LeadingAge?

This is a temporary, 10-week internship beginning on or around May 1, 2025, for approximately 30 hours/week. The hourly rate for this internship is $17.50 through June, 30, 2025 and beginning on July 1, 2025 the hourly rate will be $18.00.

  • This position requires weekly in-office work (3 days) in our Washington D.C. office under a hybrid working model.

The intern will work with the Salesforce platform and the ZoomInfo data broker toolset to provide LeadingAge with a statistical analysis of ZoomInfo data and the practicality of using this data broker for prospecting and data cleaning activities.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Assess the quality and accuracy of data provided from ZoomInfo: for a subset of data, research contacts using their company website, Google, etc to assess.
  • Assess the match rate of ZoomInfo data to our member data and report on “false positive” and missed matches.
  • Assess the granularity of ZoomInfo data by building lists segmented on organizational demographics, report on the total records provided for each segmentation, and assess the accuracy of the lists by spot-checking a given percentage of records.
  • Perform data cleanup tasks such as comparing and editing records.
  • Document all steps taken and time spent during data processing and analysis.

Qualifications, Knowledge And Skill Required

  • Junior or Senior student pursuing a degree in Information Systems Technology or related field.
  • Proficiency on MS Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint) is essential. Knowledge of other applications (Excel, Zoom) is helpful.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
  • Must demonstrate a high level of attention to detail and possess demonstrated ability to work independently and effectively while maintaining changing priorities.

  • Ability to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
  • Normal work requires frequent use telephone and computer (monitor, keyboard, mouse).
  • May be required to move about frequently in the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, attend meetings, etc.
  • May require standing/sitting for prolonged periods of time during meetings and conferences.
