What are the responsibilities and job description for the Family Advocate position at LEADS, Inc.?
FAMILY ADVOCATE: We have a Family Advocate position with our Head Start/Early Head Start Center in Delaware, OH. This position is responsible for coordinating, collaborating and facilitating the effective delivery of social services and parent involvement to Head Start children, families and staff in accordance with Head Start Performance Standards and licensing regulations. This position operates as a liaison between classroom and home settings. Responsible for developing a partnership with families including the following: Assessing strengths and needs, developing goals using the Family Partnership Agreement, connecting with families the resources to meet needs, and collaborating with other agencies to ensure easy access to resources. Conduct recruitment activities according to the LEADS recruitment plan in order to maintain 100% enrollment.
The qualified candidate will have an Associate’s Degree in Social Work, Human Services or related field. Preference will be given to applicants with a Bachelor’s Degree, Social Work Certificate or Licensure. Must submit to a background check, including BCI and FBI Criminal Records, Federal and State Sex Offender registries and the Statewide Automated Child Welfare Information System and be eligible for employment as required by ODJFS. Must possess a valid Ohio Driver's License, provide proof of auto insurance and have a clean driving record for work related driving. Must complete a pre-employment physical examination and drug screening. Salary range $18.28 - $24.79 per hour depending upon degree and license.
