Position Summary : The Permit Compliance Specialist is a multifaceted role that involves reporting and analysis, permit compliance management, operational support, and CAD drafting.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
- Utilize CAD software to prepare technical drawings and schematics based on field measurements or blueprints.
- Research local codes to ensure all technical drawings meet jurisdictional requirements.
- Collaborate with measure technicians and third-party engineers for compliance and revisions.
- Conduct jurisdictional permit cost analysis and monitor permit submission and approval timelines.
- Reconcile and analyze permit expenses and recommend system improvements.
- Perform testing on permit record systems to enhance efficiency.
- Review daily sales reports to prioritize open orders related to permits.
- Create and submit permit packet templates; manage correction histories and operational changes.
- Oversee third-party inspection networks and assess submission alternatives.
- Ensure compliance with asbestos regulations and maintain customer follow-up for permit status.
- Support the sales team with payment affidavits, lien waivers, and NOC execution.
- Act as a liaison with building departments for code compliance resolutions.
- Maintain project deadlines and production standards while identifying trends for process improvements.
- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor.
