Medical Front Desk Receptionist
Job Summary: Medical Front Desk Receptionist needed for expanding private physician office.
- Pleasantly greet patients arriving for appointments
- Check patients in/out utilizing EMR system
- Schedule and confirm patient appointments
- Manage phone lines and triage calls or message within EMR to appropriate office personnel
- Medical Records as needed
- Scan in daily paperwork into EMR
- Collect payments (co-pays, deductible, co-insurance, payments)
- Effectively communicate with physician, billing department, and clinical staff
- Verify insurance / authorizations for office visits
- Keep lobby, front desk, and break room tidied
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Customer Service in Healthcare office or equivalent: 3 years preferred
- Insurance verifications: 1 year preferred
- Highly organized with attention to detail
- Pleasant phone personality and disposition to patients and staff
- Team player attitude with the ability to multi-task/time manage
- Able to deliver quality and compassionate customer service to every patient
- Excellent communication skills
- Positive work ethic while taking initiative to excel in their role
- Punctual and dedicated to weekly schedule
Schedule: M-Th 8:30 – 5:30 and Friday 8:30 – 3
