The City of Fairmont is looking for a Master Electrician. Under the general supervision of the Electric Distribution Superintendent, this position will mainly be responsible for performing a variety of skilled work in the design, installation, and maintenance of electrical equipment, controls, and communications. The typical work schedule is 7 : 00 a.m. to 4 : 00 p.m., Monday - Friday. Other hours and call duty may be required as assigned. Qualifications for this position include the possession of a high school diploma (or equivalent) and a Master Electrician License. Preferred qualifications include a two-year degree in an electrical or electronics-related field, basic knowledge of SCADA systems, and a working knowledge of components.
