The city of Minnetonka seeks a Planner with a strong public service focus / orientation. The role of the planner is to respond to public inquiries and land use complaints; enforce zoning ordinances; review permit applications; prepare written staff reports; make regularly scheduled oral presentations to the planning commission; monitor and provide project management for land use applications; conduct research projects; and perform GIS related functions.
Minimum Qualifications :
- A belief in and commitment to the organization's shared values
- A bachelor's degree in Planning or a related field and One (1) year of responsible, relevant planning experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Experience dealing with land use complaints, and the interpretation and enforcement of zoning ordinances.
- Knowledge and practical experience with GIS
- Valid MN driver's license
