The primary objective of this position is to coordinate the City of Willmar's Rental Housing Program, conduct rental housing inspections, and enforce property maintenance codes. This non-supervisory role reports to the Director of Planning and Development and involves communication with city departments, boards, commissions, elected officials, stakeholders, property managers, and service organizations.
Key Duties :
- Rental Licensing : Reviewing applications, scheduling inspections, issuing licenses, and managing unlicensed properties.
- Property Maintenance : Enforcing zoning codes, addressing housing standards, inspecting properties, managing files, and ensuring code compliance.
Other Responsibilities :
This position requires the ability to solve problems, maintain records, and issue citations as necessary
