πŸ’Ž Who is the Senior Media Planner?

The Sr. Media Planner is responsible for developing strategic media plans to achieve client objectives. This includes evaluating channel performance, audience research, and creative assets to identify the appropriate media mix, targeting tactics, and budget allocation for upcoming campaigns.

This role works closely with account and project teams to ensure all media plans align with client expectations and collaborates with media buyers to implement campaigns upon approval and analyze campaign performance once complete.

In This Role, You Can Expect To

  • Lead client's overall media planning process and ensure campaigns across business areas and channels are effective.
  • Develops media plans for campaigns which includes identifying and recommending the appropriate media mix, targeting tactics, and budget allocation across social media networks, including Meta, LinkedIn, and Twitter.
  • Make recommendations for alternative media channels to reach the right audience and achieve campaign objectives when/if appropriate. This could include but is not limited to recommendations for paid search, YouTube, or native advertising.
  • Perform audience research and analysis to ensure campaigns are reaching the intended audiences on each channel.
  • Work with project manager to gather creative assets and ensure spec requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with media buyers to implement campaigns after client approval.
  • Perform campaign QA once built by media buyer.
  • Review campaign reports and media buyers' insights and analysis. Provide and documents actionable next steps for future campaigns plans.

πŸ“š What do You Need?

  • 3.5 or more years of media management experience required, with at least 2 years of strategic media planning across various media channels.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • Ability to track, measure, and optimize campaign performance using analytics tools.
  • Strong understanding of audience segmentation, targeting tactics, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Meticulous approach to campaign execution, reporting, and optimization.
  • Ability to develop and apply media strategies that align with business and marketing objectives.
  • Skills in cross-functional teamwork, communication, and problem-solving.
  • Enthusiasm for staying ahead of industry trends and leveraging innovative media strategies.
  • Technological proficiency and comfort working with media platforms, analytics tools, and emerging digital marketing technologies.
  • Strong knowledge of spreadsheet software (Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, etc.)
  • Agency experience is always preferred but not required.
