HUMAN RESOURES SPECIALIST
GRAND PRAIRIE, TX - GRAND PRAIRIE PLANT
As a member of the Human Resources team, the Human Resources Specialist will be responsible to assist the Human Resource team in every facet of the human resource function with a primary focus on strategic HR initiatives such as employee engagement, labor relations, and strategic staffing.
The Role :
Your work will include, but not be limited to :
- Lead employee engagement efforts for the Grand Prairie plant.
- Be a strategic partner to the plant operations teams.
- Handles labor relations issues and counsel's employees / management as required.
- Prepares confidential correspondence and reports.
- Oversees recruitment, interviewing and hiring.
- Prepare employees separation notices and related documentation and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separation.
- Undertakes or coordinates special projects and reports.
- Performs any other duties required in pursuance of the function of this position or as directed.
- Knows and follows all safety, ISO14001 / TS16949 policies and procedures. Designs and formalizes local policies as needed.
- Prepares reports and recommends procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
- Keeps records of hired employee characteristics for governmental purposes.
- Directs training efforts of the plant through in-plant training and programs designed to improve team member skills in production, quality, and safety.
- Directs the development of activities that are designed to give team members favorable image of their company and local management.
