What are the responsibilities and job description for the Seat Assembler position at Lear Corporation?
Job Responsibilities
- The Seat Assembler is part of the Production department and reports to the Line Supervisor
- Work as a team member on a production line adding various components to the seat assembly
- Use hand tools and power tools to assemble seat components according to specifications and instructions
- Follow safety guidelines, policies and procedures
- Maintain a clean and organized work area by adhering to Lear’s “5S” and “World Class Housekeeping” standards
- Collaborate with team members to achieve production goals, performance goals, and objectives
- Assure Safety & Quality standards are followed at all times
- Identify and report any problems related to the product, process and quality system
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Detail-oriented with good manual dexterity
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, and reach with hands & arms
- Repetitive gripping and use of hands
- Must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 lbs, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 lbs
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required
- One year of related experience preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: From $18.50 per hour
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Weekends as needed
