Role and Responsibilities
The Drafter/Detailer will be responsible for preparing shop-drawings and submittals in accordance with contract documents, as well as updating and revise shop drawings as needed.
- · Develop and prepare engineering drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, specification sheets and other data.
- · Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations.
- · Proficient in Tekla Structures Software
- · Be familiar with BIM & IFC files and conversion to fabrication layout and manufacturing drawings to the floor.
- · Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams or layouts from sketches.
- · Prepare and interpret conventional and computer-assisted design (CAD) engineering, drawings, and specifications for machines and components.
- · Prepare conventional and computer-assisted design (CAD) engineering, drawings and specifications. Respond quickly to the shop floor’s needs in response to addressing issues that may surface during production regarding the manufacturing specifications, Bill of Material, or routings.
- · Independently manage a workload consisting of multiple projects with multiple deadlines.
- · Assist team members with execution of projects, orders, estimates and purchasing
- · Any other tasks as requested by Operations Manager
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- · 3 years of 3D modelling including standardized drafting practices
- · Associate or Bachelor’s degree preferred (Mechanical, Industrial, or Structural Engineering or Engineering Technology , or equivalent experience.)
- · Ability to work in a team environment
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
