Operator/Laborer

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Laborer/Operator to join our team. This position involves working at a structural steel fabrication shop and operating heavy machinery to support project completion. The ideal candidate will have experience in construction site operations and a strong understanding of safety protocols.

Duties

• Operate heavy equipment including graders, bulldozers, backhoes, and dump trucks to perform various tasks on construction sites.
• Ensure the proper maintenance and safety checks of all equipment before operation.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
• Follow all safety guidelines and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials as needed on-site.

Skills

• Proficient in heavy equipment operation, including graders, bulldozers, backhoes, and water trucks.
• Experience with commercial driving is preferred for transporting equipment and materials.
• Ability to dig effectively and efficiently while adhering to safety standards.
• Familiarity with construction site operations and best practices.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues as they arise.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• A commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
