What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Indirect Tax position at Learfield?
Reporting directly to the VP of Tax, the Manager, Indirect Tax serves as the lead indirect tax resource for the entire organization, with a focus on improving the indirect tax process. This role will interface with various business partners to accomplish the responsibilities of leading the indirect tax calculation and compliance process, managing notices and audits with tax jurisdictions, researching tax issues, and evaluating indirect tax requirements and risks across the Company for current and new business activities.
Job Responsibilities :
- Manage timely and accurate indirect tax filings for the company and its subsidiaries
- Manage the use tax accrual process in conjunction with the AP team
- Lead indirect tax process improvement initiatives
- Respond to notices and interact with various jurisdictions
- Research indirect and other tax issues for various parts of the organization
- Evaluate indirect tax requirements and risks for current and new business activities
- Assist with a variety of tasks in the department, including business licenses and property tax
