Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and caring Preschool Teacher to join our team. As a Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and engaging learning environment for young children, promoting their physical, emotional, and cognitive development, and ensuring they reach their full potential. The ideal candidate will have a passion for early childhood education, a commitment to excellence, and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents.
Duties:
- Plan and implement engaging and interactive lessons and activities for preschool-aged children, aligning with the school's curriculum and goals.
- Develop and maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment, fostering a sense of community and encouraging socialization among students.
- Monitor and assess student progress, using standardized testing and ongoing assessments to identify areas of strength and weakness.
- Create individualized lesson plans and adapt them to meet the diverse needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Provide support and guidance to students with special needs, including those who require physical education accommodations.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement special education programs and activities.
- Engage in tutoring and one-on-one instruction to help students who require extra support.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, adhering to all health and safety protocols.
- Communicate regularly with parents, keeping them informed about their child's progress, and seeking input on lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and other activities to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of literacy education and early childhood development principles.
- Experience with standardized testing and assessment tools.
- Ability to care for toddlers and maintain a safe and nurturing environment.
- Understanding of physical education and the importance of physical activity for young children.
- Experience teaching in a classroom setting, with the ability to adapt lesson plans to meet the needs of students with varying learning styles.
- Commitment to early childhood education and a willingness to continuously improve teaching skills and knowledge.
- Experience with special education and the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and parents to support students with special needs.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and students, both verbally and in writing.
- Familiarity with childcare and the ability to maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment.
- Experience with tutoring and one-on-one instruction, with the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
